Giovanni Pascoli was one of the most important Italian poets in the XIX century. His poetry looks simple, focused on everyday life, and nature. However, he was a classical scholar, wrote both in Italian and in Latin, was influenced by Sully and von Hartmann, and his poetry shows interesting affinities with European symbolism.
He used analogy and synesthesia, and his works shows a very subtle musicality. This new annoteBook contains the following collections of poems: “Myricae”, “Primi poemetti”, “Canti di Castelvecchio”, “Poemi conviviali”, “Odi e Inni”, “Le canzoni di Re Enzio”, “Nuovi poemetti”, “Poemi italici”, “Poemi del Risorgimento”, “Inno a Roma”, “Inno a Torino”.
